Picture day! Early memory quilts

They've been pieced, quilted, and washed!  The 'Early Memory' quilts that I've been working on are ... ta-done!

Hers ... background of half-square batik triangles, to evoke the feeling of the sky.  The 'leaves' are appique, from her baby and toddler outfits.  Tree is wood-grain fabric.  The bottom border is green for the grass, the other three borders pink! All surrounded by a luscious purple outer border.  Not as big as big brother's, still queen size, with hanging sleeve.

The back - Robert Kaufman purple "Shimmer".  Quilting is with pink Glide, batting is bamboo.
Pretty hard to see the quilting, sorry!
His, big squares created from his baby and toddler clothes.  All of the pockets were retained for keeping treasures!  Each square has a different quilting design in its border.  The strips horizontally between the squares are from his "onesies"! Large enough to overhang on a queen size mattress, also has a hanging sleeve.

The turtle has lots of dimension!

Love this piece!!  Royal blue for its background

Backing is Robert Kauffman blue "Shimmer".
Quilting is with blue Glide, warm & natural cotton batting.
