Did you know I also carry lots of batting?  

My favourite batting is Quilters Dream!  I carry a variety of their products:

Batting product labels are great sources of information!!  On the labels, you will learn how closely you must stitch, how to wash (or not!) your project with the batting you have selected.  

Here are some of my favourite ways to use the battings I carry:
  • for any quilt that will be used by someone with issues regulating body heat (babies, elders, very ill) select natural fibers - these release excess heat so don't overheat, but keep the user warm and cozy
  • for a light and airy finish - Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select loft
  • quilts that will get a lot of washes - select an 80% cotton / 20% poly combination
  • quilts for babies - Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Request loft (their lightest loft)
  • double batting for stitch definition
    • wall quilts - base layer of Quilters Dream 70% cotton/30% poly, topped with Quilters Dream 100% wool or Quilters Dream Puff
    • bed quilts - 2 layers of Hobbs 80/20 
  • quilts with beautiful breathability and drape - Hobbs 80% cotton / 20% wool or Arctic 50% cotton / 50% bamboo
  • tablewear - placemats, table runners - Quilters Dream 70% cotton / 30% poly gives a firm, flat finish
  • today's wool batting is much improved from yesteryear - fewer chemicals used in the processing so less likely to cause allergies; less shrinkage; washable!
